Meet Victor Sr.
Victor Capo Sr. was more than just the founder of Capo’s Coins — he was a pillar of the South Philadelphia community. A proud Italian-American and passionate collector, Victor Sr. opened the shop in 1966 with a handshake, a strong work ethic, and a deep respect for every customer who walked through the door. Known for his honesty, sharp eye for value, and genuine warmth, he built a business that became a neighborhood staple — and a family legacy that lives on to this day.
The Next Generation
Today, Capo’s Coins is proudly run by Victor Jr. and his daughter Alyssa — the second and third generation of the Capo family. Carrying forward the legacy started by Victor Sr., this father-daughter team blends decades of experience with a fresh, modern approach to the business. Victor brings the wisdom and reputation built over years behind the counter, while Alyssa brings new energy, innovation, and a deep appreciation for the shop’s roots. Together, they continue to serve the South Philly community with the same honesty, knowledge, and heart that have defined Capo’s Coins since 1966.
